In Sinnai people become “books” thanks to stories

“It’s not people who open books, but books that open people… What if people were books, for an hour of storytelling?”.

The Sinnai Municipal Library inaugurated a new proposal involving citizens of the world who told everything about themselves, their travels and experiences in the world, promoting on this first evening, inclusion, empathy and knowledge of what we ignore or do not belong to us.

Thus, Wolter, Ros Mary and Song, but also Marta and Simone, fellow citizens of Sinnai with a long experience of life abroad, became “living books” and how they transported everyone to an elsewhere. Even in foreign lands with aromas, customs and colors of distant places, deciding to tell and tell about themselves, also showing representative objects, in an engaging and evocative way.

The spectators were able to grasp and welcome different worlds, other points of view and the distant became close. The participants themselves asked to continue traveling in the world of hospitality. “So – said the librarian, Luisella Saddi – we will soon have other appointments in the library. We will land again in Brazil, Colombia, England, South Korea, Spain or who knows where, but above all we will offer meetings that can be an excellent opportunity for the community to grow and share”.
