On 28 June the program of events “Dolomites, metamorphosis of a landscape”, promoter of the project “mu.ri regional widespread museum of engineering / cultural tourist itineraries along the Piave and Cellina Livenza basins” will move to Cadore. In Perarolo, in the Serra of Palazzo Lazzaris, the book «Counterhistory of mountaineering» by Andrea Zannini, professor of history at the Department of Human Sciences of the University of Udine, will be presented. The presentation, scheduled for 6.30 pm, will be preceded, for those who wish, by visits to the small church of Damòs and the Cidolo and Legname museum.

The opportunity will also be, in a key place of the ancient and contemporary infrastructural network, to present the “mu.ri” project to the public and local administrators. A project that sees in the works of man, sometimes seen as violation and interference in communities, important resources for the knowledge of history and the territory. An instrument, that of a widespread museum which is based on the network of infrastructures, which can attract interest and curiosity in a vast and heterogeneous public, and which can promote the knowledge of an even more extensive heritage of works which belong to this territory and which have their roots in cultural, artistic and naturalistic history, but which often do not find a place in an organic, organized and aware tourist system. Itineraries, those of mu.ri, which, due to the importance of the proposed sites, can be included in national and international circuits of industrial archeology such as those of Aipai and Erih, generating opportunities for economic and cultural development in places of great value, but excluded from traditional routes. The initiative is promoted by the Universities of Udine and Padua.
