Today, from 9am to 5pm, the Voghera Red Cross group will be present in Piazza Duomo to promote the “I Cri.pto libri” project. An idea born to spread culture by purchasing books and supporting the Red Cross with a small donation. The president of the Voghera Cri books presented. It was a moment of serenity and lightheartedness in a dramatic period, which we wanted to maintain. Among the donations they make to us, in addition to clothes, food and medical supplies, there are also books, so we decided to propose “Cri.pto libri”. The first book was donated by Camilla Emanuelli, a 92 year old lady from Stradella, with her donation this project started.”
The books are packaged, and a note with a clue phrase is placed on top of the package, which guides people to discover the volume best suited to their preferences. «You can buy them for 2 or 5 euros. With the funds raised, we intend to modernize our emergency department, as well as the field kitchen. Then we need a new ambulance. During the Covid period, we often went to Bergamo, in the area most affected by the pandemic, to support the rescuers. Now we urgently need to renew our fleet of vehicles.” President Chiara Fantin, with her collaborators, is also thinking of offering the purchase of books to newlyweds who are organizing wedding parties.
