Municipality of Naples – Open “NapoliCittàLibro

This morning the fifth edition of NapoliCittàLibro – Book and Publishing Fair officially opened with the Bersaglieri Fanfare and the cutting of the institutional ribbon in the presence of the Mayor of Naples Gaetano Manfredi, the coordinator of cultural policies
of the Municipality of Naples Sergio Locoratolo, of the central editor-in-chief of TGR Rai Campania Oreste Lo Pomo, of the presidents of the Regional Associations of Publishers of Campania, Puglia, Abruzzo and Marche and of the publishers Alessandro Polidoro and Rosario Bianco, president and vice-president of the Liber@Arte association.

NapoliCittàLibro – Book and Publishing Fair 2024it will be open from Friday 14 to Sunday 16 June, from 10.00 to 20.00with the title “Re-Generations”, divided into the five thematic islands “Genres”, “Visions”, “Generations”, “Cognitions” and “New Memories”, in the spaces of the Congress Center of the Maritime Station of Naples.

Organized by the Liber@Arte association, the event received a contribution from the Center for Books and Reading, the patronage and support of the Municipality of Naples, the patronage of the Ministry of Culture, Embassy of the Republic of Albania, RAI Campania, Chamber of Commerce of Naples, Campania Law – Naples Prize Foundation, of FAI Campania, ACE Campana Editori Association, ALI – Italian Booksellers Association Confcommercio, AIB – Italian Library Association. RAI Media Partnership.

In this fifth edition there will be 136 editorial acronyms and the national publishing houses will be present, with their authors.

In the spaces of the Stazione Marittima, TGR Campania, in addition to telling the NapoliCittàLibro to its viewers in the news editions during the three days of the Salone, will be present with the Agora del Leggilibri spaceedited by Claudio Ciccarone.

The Liber@Arte association creates and launches, as part of NapoliCittàLibro, a format that combines music and poetry “Napoli Sound Fest, voices and sounds of the city” with three events scheduled for Saturday 15 June, at 3.00 pm, in Sala Urania 2.
The collaboration with the International School of Comics has been confirmed: this year too the teachers of the academy for training in the visual arts will hold workshops dedicated to comics and new media in NapoliCittàLibro.

At NapoliCittàLibro the ten years of “A legendary day – Books and readers on the streets of Vomero”, a project for the diffusion of books and reading and, more generally, culture in a dynamic and participatory way. A party with readings by teachers and students and with artistic performances by actors and musicians.

National and regional book clubs, which meet every month to give space to authors, publishing houses and projects dedicated to the world of books and reading, will participate in this edition with events curated by them.
The national program which aims to promote reading in the family from birth “Born to Read” will have a dedicated space, where it will be able to display books, inform families about the benefits of reading and organize reading moments that will be included in the event calendar.

Unicef ​​Campania will also be there with reading workshops “Read the rights”.
