One of the most beautiful and healthy habits of children but also of adults during the summer is undoubtedly reading, under the umbrella after a nice swim. She spoke to Radiolina’s microphones Tiziana Cappaifrom the Giunti bookshop in Sassari, who gave valuable advice for little book enthusiasts. Cappai started from the best sellers: “The best-selling reads in the summer period are certainly those that are a little softer, less demanding. One of the books that is becoming the most popular is a mystery by a debut writer from Sassari, Marco Atzeni, entitled “The Two Cities”, set between two of the best-known streets of Sassari which are via Cavour and via Carlo Alberto”.

The protagonist wanders around nineteenth-century Sassari, alternating between infamous neighborhoods and bourgeois neighborhoods. He lives in a hovel until the day when, in the notary’s office where he works as a scribe, he receives a visit from the rich woman Musso. The old woman makes him an offer that is difficult to refuse: to go and live in one of the apartments in a majestic building she owns in one of the city’s noble streets. A few days after the move, right in the atrium of the building, the man meets a young woman with contradictory ways. Her name is Ada and she lies to him on many topics. The girl and the man, moreover, would not even have been able to know each other if he hadn’t been gifted with a supernatural and arcane sensitivity that makes his life impossible even as a child. A relationship of complicit trust will develop between the two and the investigations into some murders and the affairs of the baron, the richest and most powerful lord of Sassari, also begin from here.
