At the Antiques Market in June there was a lot of visitors and many books, prints and postcards

The Antiques market in June is still full of visitors and exhibitors, especially on the morning of Sunday 9th, when the edition opened with a full parterre of 300 stalls between the Mercato Pavia and Salone Tartara, invaded by a crowd that has already started buying the best pieces on display immediately after opening hours.
An edition which, as often happens in the summer, featured above all paper artefacts: from books to prints, from postcards to advertising posters.

The most popular are those linked to the territory: ancient images of Casale, advertisements of Monferrato companies that have now disappeared and an excellent collection of books on wine topics. In addition to these, there are also many curiosities of all kinds, starting with a large cardboard cutout of Diabolik that welcomed visitors shortly after the entrance to Piazza Castello and which the exhibitor recovered from a photographic material shop. And how can we forget the gigantic Swatch watch sitting limply on an armchair as if it were relaxing in the living room?

As always, Antiquariato Casalese was accompanied by the Farmer Market, the zero-mile market of Monferrato producers. The next edition will be on July 14th. Who knows if anyone will also celebrate the French national holiday among the stalls.
