The Christmas pigthe children’s book written by JK Rowling arriving in bookstores in 2021, it will become a film.

Variety exclusively reports that the film adaptation has entered early development and does not yet have a production company.

The other projects taken from the writer’s works (including The vacant seat and the mystery adaptations of Cormoran Strike) are produced by Brontë Film and Televisionthe company founded in 2013 by JK Rowling (majority shareholder) with his agent Neil Blair.

The plot

Jack loves his stuffed pig. She is always there for him, through the good days and the bad. Until, one Christmas Eve, a terrible thing happens: Jack loses his little pig. But Christmas Eve is the day of miracles and lost causes, it is the night when everything can come to life… even toys. And Jack’s new puppet, the Christmas Pig (an annoying fresh-from-the-store replacement), has a bold plan. Together they will embark on a magical journey to find what has been lost and to save the best friend Jack has ever had…
