The “Edizioni Tigulliana” at the Turin Book Fair to talk about Portofino and the Gulf of Tigullio.

A Ligurian village that will tell the story of the culture of our region, with walls made of books, faces, portraits, quotes and symbols of a land that, on reading, wants to build its future.

This is what will happen during the five days of the Turin Book Fair (at the “Lingotto Fiere”), from 9 to 13 May, in the 220 square meter stand where Liguria will be the guest region for the first time.

In the space of the “Sala Liguria”, among the meetings organized by the 36 Ligurian publishers and the 19 literary prizes of the territory, we will also talk about Tigullio, in particular Portofino, thanks to an event that will be promoted by the “Edizioni Tigulliana” of Santa Margherita Ligure .

In the large pavilion which will evoke a typical Ligurian village and will host Ligurian events, on Sunday 12 May, from 3.30 pm to 4.30 pm, an event entitled “I found my love in Portofino” will take place, or the charm of a village between history, stories and nature. A dialogue between the writers Franco A. Ferri and Stefano Podestà coordinated by Marco Delpino.

In addition to the two “mysteries” (set in Portofino) by the writers Ferri and Podestà, we will talk about the book “Operation Sunrise, the last miracle” which tells the story of the rescue of the village, by Baroness Von Mumm, from the Nazi destruction in April 1945, of the volume “La Riviera in Vetrina” (which collects the history of tourism in the Tigullio and the most famous period posters) and of the book “Montanelli-Portofino and a national park”.

The Liguria program at the Book Fair, as the coordinator of cultural policies of the Region Jessica Nicolini recalled during the recent press conference, “wants to reclaim the value of the book as an instrument of freedom, because reading makes us free and aware citizens”.
