The updated edition presented on Wednesday, April 3 at 4:30 p.m

The updated edition of the book “My dad invented the radio”, written by Livio Spinelli, will be presented on Wednesday 3 April at 4.30 pm at the Liceo Galileo Galilei in Santa Marinella.

The appointments of the program have in fact begun for the celebration planned for the 150th anniversary of the birth of the famous scientist Guglielmo Marconi, who with his family spent a happy period in Torre Chiaruccia, in Capolinaro, during which he carried out studies and research on electromagnetic waves.

On behalf of the Administration, I thank the Liceo Galileo Galilei for hosting this presentation, which allows us to talk about Guglielmo Marconi and the precious scientific contribution that earned him the Nobel Prize for Physics in 1909. He started the radio communications that we use today , such as television or mobile phone. His inventions brought countries and peoples closer together and made navigation at sea safer. It is good for children to get to know the scientist more closely and carry on their memory of him. A character known throughout the world and whom the city honors with the celebration of the anniversary of his birth”, said the mayor Pietro Tidei.

The initiatives of the Municipal Administration for the celebration of the Marconian Year continue, with the next appointment scheduled for April 3rd at the Liceo G. Galilei, during which we will present the updated edition of the book “My dad invented the Radio”. It will be an opportunity to remember and delve deeper into the figure of a great scientist and how his great passion for electrology changed the world. I invite citizens to take part in this important meeting”, declared Gino Vinaccia, councilor for culture.

The author of the book, Livio Spinelli, the co-delegate of the Città delle Scienze-Istituto Marconiano di Santa Marinella, Marilena Curti and the president of the Cariciv Foundation Gabriella Sarracco will be present at the appointment on 3 April.
