MESTRE – The architect has died Plinio Danieli84 years old, author of important projects for the urban development of Mestre from the 80s onwards: among the best-known projects is the hotel Lagoon Palace in viale Ancona or the passage over the Salso canal and in connection with via Sansovino or also, previously, the management-commercial building known as “Terraglio1“. Of note the idea of a new city of water had by the architect Danieli with the brothers, thanks to the extension of Canal Salso up to via Torino where, among other things, the large dock, underground car parks, the Laguna Palace hotel-residence and the bridge connecting to Via Forte Marghera were built. His contribution was also decisive for the creation of the M9 museum district. From via Torino to the Auchan area and up to Panorama, Plinio Danieli he is the architect who saw far ahead and planned the development of the city in areas that were considered suburbs and have for years been the heart of tertiary activities.
