The dirt everywhere, the sewer hole with all the feces, well, that was a moment when I felt really dirty, the dirtiest, less than a human being.” The cold in the cell had done the rest. Women detained in Russia
Half of the world’s prison population resides between China, Russia and the United States. Russian female prisoners make up 8.1 percent.
