The Cassa Forense project “Mens Sana In Corpore Sano – Culture & Health Prevention”
Departing on June 27th in Cosenza “Longevity 7+”, the medical-health program dedicated to the prevention of the risk of cardiovascular disease for lawyers, promoted by Cassa Forense in collaboration with the Policlinico Gemelli in Rome.
10 days will be organized in the area, during which those registered with Cassa Forense will be able to undergo the check-up free of charge carried out by qualified medical staff at Gemelli, available to applicants with the itinerant mobile health unit dedicated to the initiative.
THE CHECK-UP INCLUDES:
- anamnestic collection with objective examination of the body areas, the main vital parameters, capillary blood sugar and total cholesterol;
- physical performance evaluation with measurement of muscle strength (isometric contraction of the hand) and “chair test” (detection and evaluation of the time taken to get up from a chair with arms crossed);
- circumference measurement of life, hips, calf and arm, of the weight and of theheight with calculation of BMI;
- profiling of the vascular risk through the evaluation of the 7 main risk factors (blood pressure, blood sugar, cholesterol, body mass index, physical activity, diet, cigarette smoking);
- check from the quality of sleep
Doctors will also provide advice on a correct lifestyle and good eating habits.
Following a balanced diet, practicing regular physical exercise, keeping your weight and blood sugar, cholesterol, blood pressure and body measurements under control, sleeping well, avoiding cigarette smoking are all factors that help you age healthily and prevent onset of disability.
Sold out the first day in Cosenza, where 250 visits have already been booked. The second day will be held in Treviso, on July 16, 2024. INFO and RESERVATIONS on the website of the Bar Association of Cosenza and Treviso.
