The Israeli army said that operational plans for an offensive in Lebanon have been “approved and validated”. The Times of Israel writes it.

“In an all-out war, Hezbollah will be destroyed and Lebanon will be hit hard.” Foreign Minister Israel Katz wrote this on X, commenting on the Hezbollah video with images from a drone over northern Israel and the port of Haifa. “Nasrallah – he explained – today boasts of having photographed the ports of Haifa, managed by large international companies from China and India, and threatens to damage them. We are very close to deciding whether to change the rules of the game against Hezbollah and Lebanon. Israel will pay a price but we will restore security for the residents of the north.”

Hezbollah released a video on social media taken from one of their reconnaissance drones that flew over northern Israel and the port of Haifa where there are sensitive targets. The Israeli media reported this, underlining that Hezbollah – with which a harsh military clash is underway in the north – did not, however, explain when the video, about 10 minutes long, was filmed. The army has not yet made any comment on the video which has sparked concern in the country. The drone images show the coast of Haifa which is approximately 27 kilometers away and also appears to include part of an Israeli Navy base, as well as several warships and infrastructure said to be from the elite Shayetet Unit 7. Beyond at the port of Haifa, footage shows, according to Hezbollah, strategic military positions in northern Israel, including the Iron Dome and David’s Sling air defense systems, as well as a residential neighborhood in nearby Kiryat Yam. Hezbollah said the drone returned to Lebanon safely. Immediately after the video was released on social media, Israel announced that it had shot down 3 drones over the Western Galilee, launched from Lebanon.

“It is inconceivable that in recent months the administration has withheld weapons and ammunition from Israel” said Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on the sending of US weapons to Israel. “Secretary Blinken assured me that the administration is working around the clock to remove these bottlenecks. I certainly hope that’s the case. It should be that way.” “During World War II, Churchill said to the United States: Give us the tools, we will do the job. And I say: Give us the tools and we will finish the job much faster.”

“There was only one shipment of weapons to Israel that was blocked, everything else continues to flow regularly.” White House spokeswoman Karine Jean-Pierre said this in a press briefing regarding Netanyahu’s attack. “We really don’t know what he’s talking about,” she added.
