Ukraine, Orban raises the alarm: “West one step away from sending troops”

The West is one step away from sending troops to Ukraine and this military vortex may drag Europe down. Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban stated this to the Hungarian news site Index, adding that «today in Brussels there is a majority in favor of war. The atmosphere in Europe is bellicose. The logic of war dominates politics. I see preparations for war by everyone, everywhere. The NATO Secretary General has said that he wants to establish an Alliance mission in Ukraine. European leaders are already involved in a war, they see this war as their war and are waging it as such.” On the other hand, the head of the Main Directorate of Ukrainian Intelligence, Kyrylo Budanov, also anticipated the danger of increasing difficulties for Ukraine. «We expect a rather difficult situation, according to our estimates, in the near future. But it’s nothing catastrophic (…) there won’t be an Armageddon as many are starting to claim now. However, there will be problems from mid-May,” he noted.

«At first it was just about sending helmets, then it was about sanctions, but not energy, obviously. After that it was a matter of sending weapons: first firearms, then tanks, planes, financial aid for over tens of billions of euros, and now around 100 billion euros these weapons do not improve the situation, which, on the contrary, is getting worse. We are one step away from the West sending soldiers to Ukraine. This military vortex can drag Europe down. Brussels is playing with fire and making God angry,” Orban continued. «The world wars were never called world wars at first, we Hungarians know what war is like. We’ve been involved enough times. I am convinced that we must stay out. This is not our war. We don’t want war. This is why we must fight for peace at home, in Brussels, Washington, at the United Nations and at NATO”, he wrote on his Facebook profile, repeating the thought reported above.
