Could Eddie Munson reappear in Stranger Things season 5? It remains a mystery at the moment, but Joseph Quinn is also hoping so.
Eddie Munson is one of the most popular characters of Stranger Things: his involvement was brief but intense. Joseph Quinn, his interpreter, gave a valuable contribution to the fourth season but, considering what happened to Eddie, it is difficult to think of his possible return. Difficult, but not impossible, because after all Stranger Things it’s a TV series science fiction that proposes a parallel enemy reality understood as the kingdom of Vecna teeming with Demogorgons. Eddie decided to sacrifice himself allowing his friend Dustin to save himself and escape from the Upside Down. A painful death that could appear definitive, but the most hopeful fans would like to see him back in action, as well as Joseph Quinn. It was the actor who recently fueled hope again by hypothesizing a possible return of Eddie in the fifth and final season.

Eddie Munson is one of the most iconic characters in Joseph Quinn’s repertoire, a star whose fame is on the rise above all because soon we will find him at the cinema with Fantastic Four of the MCU. But Eddie still holds a special place in his heart as an artist, and in a recent interview, the actor once again addressed Eddie’s potential return despite what happened in season four. Interviewed by Entertainment Tonight, addressed the topic while the reporter shared his impressions with the actor: could Eddie appear in the fifth and final season? Quinn’s response didn’t take long to arrive and he rekindled hope:
I might have this feeling too. Or not. Who knows? I don’t know. Who knows? Maybe it will be so.
After Eddie’s sacrifice, the public has resigned itself to the idea that the character will not be involved in the fifth season. But hopeful fans do not give up and Joseph Quinn’s words do nothing but fuel the theories. Eddie, for example, may not actually have died in the Upside Down. Or he could reappear in the form of flashback or apparitions in dreams or delirium. During the interview, Joseph Quinn specified that he would be happy “with high probability” to resume contact with his colleagues of Stranger Things:
I love those guys, I’d love to stop by and say hello. I’m sure they are working very hard to bring home the result. They’ve been working on this for a long time, so I’m really happy that they’re getting to the end of this journey and having fun doing it. I’m sure they’ll deliver a pretty epic ending, I have no doubt about that.
