The 2023/2024 television season of Verissimo has ended, but last Sunday the Best of of the program was broadcast, and among the protagonists there was also Raimondo Todaro, teacher of Amici, who made an unexpected personal revelation.

The TV season is now coming to an end, and the programs most followed by the public at home are saying goodbye to viewers one after the other, making an appointment, in many cases, for next autumn. It is the case of Verissimo, talk show hosted by Silvia Toffanin broadcast on Saturday and Sunday afternoons. This weekend, The Best of of the show aired on Canale 5, which featured one of Amici’s dance teachers among its protagonists: Raimondo Todaro.
Famous for having long been one of the masters and dancers of Dancing with the Stars, from 2021 he joined the cast of Maria De Filippi’s talent show and contributed to Mattia Zenzola’s victory in 2022, the first Latin dancer to win the Mediaset broadcast. Todaro is also known for being the husband of Francesca Tocca, a professional dancer from Amici, with whom he has experienced many ups and downs lately, but who was close to him in a very difficult moment.

Raimondo retraced these last tumultuous years, speaking with an open heart not only about the crisis he experienced with his partner Francesca, but also about the discovery of the serious illness that struck him. In fact, in 2021, precisely in the year of his debut on Amici, Todaro discovered that he had two malignant tumors. “It all started from appendicitis, when they took me to the operating room the operation lasted four hours because the appendix had pierced a piece of the intestine” he began to tell an incredulous Toffanin.
“Until one day, as I entered the rehearsal room with Lorella Cuccarini and Alessandra Celentano, they called me telling me that I had two malignant tumors and that I had to have surgery immediately” he then added, explaining that he is currently in therapy. A very difficult period for him, who tried to make the best of things, keeping all his justified concerns to himself, in addition to the physical exhaustion that had affected him. “Luckily work was the only time I didn’t think about it. I was afraid? Fear is not much, you can handle it” he then concluded, thanking his wife Francesca Tocca for being by his side without ever leaving him alone.
In addition to his work, his daughter Jasmine also keeps hope alive and keeps him going, his great love, who, as he explained to Silvia, probably understood something, seeing his father feel very ill at home. Now, however, the worst seems to be over and the future is no longer so scary.
