“I left my steady job to pursue my art”

‘L’Acchiappatalenti’, a new show hosted by Milly Carlucci, made its debut last night. It is a program that aims to identify talented people. The choice is made thanks to a jury composed of Flavio Insinna, Simona Ventura and Francesco Facchinetti, who evaluates the performances of the competitors, supported by the talent scouts Teo Mammuccari, Francesco Paolantoni, Mara Maionchi and Sabrina Salerno. At the end of the episode, won by singer Antonio Vaglica – a talent chosen by Wanda Nara -, Ben Palumbo (chosen by Paolantoni) and Matteo Del Campo from Foggia, chosen by Teo Mammuccari also obtained a wild card.

“A revolutionary talent, who changes the rules of the game”, Milly Carlucci introduced him like this before his bizarre performance of singing and dancing: “He entertains, the public likes him because he makes people laugh and the public wants to laugh”, commented Teo Mammuccari. Del Campo, a rather well-known character on social media (with participation in various television programmes), is 30 years old and in his presentation video he defined himself as “revolutionary performer who loves to combine voice, body, music, leave a mark, a tear or a smile”.

To indulge his passion for entertainment he decided to leave a permanent job: “I was lucky enough to have my mother who supported me in everything, even when I left my job to pursue my art. Whoever chooses me will be able to understand how revolutionary my art is.”

Del Campo performed a bizarre performance of singing and dancing – repeated at the end of the episode with Mammuccari – which earned him an overall rating of 27 points from the three judges who, at the end of the episode, then awarded him one of the two wild cards. In the final he will have to perform together with his ‘Talent Catcher’ Teo Mammuccari.
