A parallel dimension that seems like a dream before quickly falling into a nightmare: that’s exactly what Dark Matter will be, the new Apple TV+ series based on the novel by Blake Crouch, a mix of love and science fiction in a profound (and terrifying) journey of self-discovery themselves.

Originally conceived as an epic cinematic feature, the project has undergone a surprising metamorphosis, transforming into a television series which promises to capture the imagination of viewers. The decision was made by Matt Tolmach, the renowned producer of The Amazing Spider-Man, in agreement with the author of the novel (who is also executive producer) after having begun to explore the intricacies of the complex work: “We both realized there was a whole universe of stories to tell that we couldn’t fully explore in one film“, Tolmach explained to Comicbook – we wanted to delve deeper into the labyrinths of the characters’ minds, immersing ourselves in their personal struggles and moral dilemmas in a way that only a television series could afford“.

The utopian universe of Dark Matter has even been compared to Westworld and has now arrived on the small screen with a cast made up of actors like Joel Edgerton and Jennifer Connelly. The TV series will tell the journey of the protagonist, Jason Dessen, and his journey to the edge of the universe to find his family.

Dark Matter is the perfect series if you love the scifi genre: Apple TV+ is increasingly expanding its catalog by browsing between original series and adaptations such as the new TV series with Jake Gyllenhaal and Harrison Ford.

On Avatar – The Way of Water – (2 BD) It is one of today’s best sellers.
