Regarding her husband Alberto Salerno’s betrayal, discovered in the most banal of ways – finding a hotel receipt in his trouser pocket – Fagnani jokes: “But did Alberto want to deduct the VAT?” and Mara Maionchi: “I have to admit that it was also partly my fault that he looked for something outside. The red light was never there, a tragedy in short. Sexually I’m a bit modest… I’m not really good at red lights… I always have the bedside lamp”.
The conflicting relationship with the mother: “I missed something”
There is also space to talk about a more unpublished part of Mara Maionchi’s life, namely her childhood and the conflicting relationship with her mother who didn’t even go to her wedding: “She didn’t come because she said that weddings made her sad. mom was strange, she wasn’t an affectionate woman, but she was very strong”. Fagnani then asks: “But was it okay for you, or was there something missing?” and Mara Maionchi confesses: “I missed something, I urged her all my life to give me affection, a hug, something… but she didn’t have it. And I understood it later. Everyone is as they are”.
