French singer Kendji Girac is no longer in danger of dying. The 27-year-old artist, winner of The Voice: La Plus Belle Voix in 2014, was wounded in the chest by a gunshot on the night between 21 and 22 April in Biscarosse (Landes). According to the singer’s first statements, he accidentally shot himself.

The accident

As reported by the French newspaper Le Parisien, the singer declared that it was an accident resulting from his own misuse of the weapon. Girac had purchased the gun the day before at a flea market. The artist was rescued by health services around 5.30am outside his caravan, in a traveler reception area in Biscarrosse. His initial conditions had caused concern, but fortunately the clinical picture seems to have returned and the artist is out of danger.

The carreer

Kendji Girac is a nomad of Gypsy origin. In 2014 he won the talent show The Voice: La Plus Belle Voix.
