Waiting to see the winner of Sanremo Festival – and hopefully this one too Edition of the Eurovision Song Contest 2024 – Angelina Mango which will take the stage at the Malmö Arena on Thursday evening 9 May, in the first semi-final broadcast yesterday, many countries have said goodbye to the competition and just as many will instead see it in the highly anticipated final on Saturday.
Italy directly into the final
Unlike the many countries that participated in the competition starting with last night’s femifinal, Italy with Angelina Mango will go directly to the final because it is part of the “Big Five“, (Germany, Italy, France, United Kingdom and Spain) or the countries that created theEurovisionplus Sweden, winner last year with Loreen and therefore this year host country. Angelina Mango’s performance on Thursday evening, which rumor has it will leave you speechless, will therefore only be a way to present her, the actual competition for her and all the finalists will then take place on Saturday.
The first semi-finalists
In the first evening, commented live on Rai 2 by Gabriele Corsi of the Medusa trio and from Mara Maionchi, 18 artists participated. Of these, only 15 in the race because the other 3 – the British Olly Alexander with Dizzy German Isaac with her Always on the Run and the Swedes Markus & Martinus with Unforgettable – are part of the Big Five. After the voting only 10 had direct access to the final. Here are the ones:
