Beijing Express arrives in the enchantment of Sri Lanka

TO Beijing Express the doors of Sri Lanka, the “Pearl of the Orient”, are opened. After the exploration of North Vietnam and the exhausting trials in Laos, on Thursday 18 April, on Sky and on NOW, the journey of Beijing Express along the Dragon’s Route reaches its third and final chapter. A chapter yet to be written in a country that offers a mosaic of different landscapes.

Crossing the borders of the country which is defined as “the teardrop of India”, the five couples still competing will experience the sensation of diving into a picture painted by Mother Nature. Pristine rainforest and tea plantations fade into the Indian Ocean. And sacred temples alternate with white beaches where you can surf and National Parks animated by Indian buffaloes and elephants. Breathtaking and spiritually rich scenery that Beijing Express travelers will begin to savor in the seventh stage of their journey. Here they will have to travel, in a hurry, the 170 kilometers that separate Negombo from the Galle finish line.

For Beijing Express the challenge continues in Sri Lanka

At the starting line, under the watchful eye of Costantino della Gherardesca, ready to set off to discover the “shining island”, there will be: Damiano and Massimiliano Carrara “The Pastry Chefs”, Artem and Antonio Orefice “The Fratms”, Maddalena Corvaglia and Barbara Petrillo “The friends”, Estefania Bernal and Antonella Fiordelisi “Italy Argentina” e Megan Ria And Maddalena Svevi “The dancers”.

The Sinhalese adventure will start from the west coast of the island: from Negombo beach, frequented mostly by fishermen, travelers will head south along the coast to Ambalangoda, where the couple who signs the red book first will earn a place in the final ranking.

In the episode – expected for Thursday 18 April at 9.15pm, exclusively on Sky Uno and streaming only on NOW, always available on demand and visible on Sky Go – the couples, equipped as always only with a backpack containing a minimum amount of equipment and 1 euros per day per person and in local currency, they will hastily resume their journey towards the ancient fortified city of Galle, a former Portuguese colony and a key destination. What missions await the couples? Will the exploration of Sri Lanka continue for all travelers or will someone have to pack their bags and return home?
