VILLARDORA / SANT’AGATA BOLOGNESE – On the morning of Sunday 28 April on the occasion of World Rescue Dog Day, the municipality of Sant’Agata Bolognese (Bologna) inaugurated a new dog walking area equipped for the training and play of our four-legged friends naming it after the “hero dog of the fire brigade Artù” who passed away last August after having worked over nine years as a fire brigade dog unit, participating in numerous search and rescue interventions including the earthquakes in Emilia Romagna in 2012 and Amatrice in 2016 and finally the avalanche that overwhelmed the Hotel Rigopiano in the municipality of Farindola (Pescara) which occurred in 2017. The Mayor Giuseppe Vicinelli with his councilors, the dog unit of the fire brigade were present at the inaugural ceremony from Emilia Romagna and the owners of Artù, namely the firefighters Alice Triulzi and Massimiliano Durante from Villardora in Valsusa.
