Gabriel Garko returns to acting and does so in a new series broadcast on TV tonight, Friday 29 March, on Canale 5. In the thriller “If I Could Say Goodbye” the actor he is joined by Anna Safroncik. The new series directed by Simona and Ricky Tognazzi sees the great return of two actors much loved by the public, protagonists of the new Mediaset television project.

If I could say goodbye, the plot
The story tells of Elena (Anna Safroncik), a talented neuropsychiatrist, who seems to have a perfect life: a loving husband, Lorenzo, and two wonderful daughters, the teenager Anita and the little pianist Arianna. The doctor’s life is turned upside down by an accident in which her husband Lorenzo is killed: it is a devastating loss for her and her two little girls.

After a year, the investigation is closed, but Elena does not give up, so much so that Commissioner Diego Carli (Francesco Venditti) will help her in the investigation. When she returns to her work as a psychotherapist, she is immediately assigned a patient, Marcello De Angelis (Gabriel Garko), who seems to have connections to what happened. An intense relationship is born between Marcello and Elena which will lead them to have to fight together to give him back his life and to discover the truth about Lorenzo’s death.

Where it was filmed
Filming of the drama began in April 2023 in and around Rome. In particular, the production chose to shoot in the Coppedè district and on the northern coast between Focene and Fregene.

How long does it last
The miniseries, produced by Jeki Production for RTI, in 6 episodes for 3 prime time, was born from an idea by Maurizio Momi and Stefano Ceccarelli who, together with Donatella Fossataro, Francesco Giuffrè, Simona Izzo and Leonardo Valenti, also wrote the screenplay.
