Correggio It will be inaugurated on Sunday 29 April at Palazzo Principi the exhibition “All areas – Luciano Ligabue”photographic journey in “70 shots plus one”, through which Jarno Iotti, passionate and visionary photographer, talks about Liga in the 20 years and more spent together “on and off a stage”. The exhibition in Correggio – the city that gave birth to both artists – will remain open until 26 May (Saturday 3.30pm-6.30pm, Sunday 10am-12.30pm and 3.30pm-6.30pm, free entry).

S“70 prints plus one” are on display in frame, 40×30 centimeters format: they are shots or sequences that show the rock musician and singer, almost always unaware of the lens that frames him, caught in moments of “pure truth”, often on stage, during some of the thousands of concerts he has experienced in the current millennium; other times in moments that usually remain unpublished for the public (but also for the photographed subject), during some of the thousands of kilometers traveled by Ligabue in this infinite journey through music and life. And where to start from, if not from the very first shot, that “plus one”, which marks the beginning of the road? The impalpable thread that guides the path is given by inspiration and vision, combined with the rare gift of knowing how to disappear behind the lens, characteristics that make Jarno Iotti the photographer capable like no other of capturing the fleeting moment in the soul of his musician friend and fellow citizen.

In addition to these images, they are exhibited in Correggio, exclusively, seven enlargements (120×220 format) and a 4×3 meter blow-up. Also on display is a 70×100 enlargement of a completely unpublished photo. In addition, a series of images (over 500) of the public at concerts, fans and choral moments.

Ligabue, protagonist for the first time of a photographic exhibition dedicated to him, comments in the introduction that begins the journey: «Jarno was close to me for a long time and, knowing me so well, he managed to portray me in my truest version, the one in which I “don’t feel” the camera. You can see the result in this exhibition of which I am very happy, not so much for me as a subject (but yes, then, that too), but for him as an author. And I have to thank him, because this series of shots are a kind of diary that I didn’t write, but which, by reminding me of where I’ve been and what I’ve done, moves deep emotions in me.”
