Paris Saint-Germain are poised to shatter the world transfer record with a €250m bid for 16-year-old Spanish prodigy Lamine Yamal.

The Parisian giants are on the hunt for a new superstar after losing Kylian Mbappe to Real Madrid on a free transfer.

Mbappe has signed a five-year contract with Real Madrid worth 15 million a year.

The 25-year-old scored 256 goals in 308 games at the Parc des Princes to become PSG’s all-time record goalscorer.

But PSG are ready to do everything to sign Barcelona superstar Yamal, .

Qatar-owned PSG is willing to give Barça 250 million for Yamal’s signature, breaking the world transfer record.

Incidentally, Paris Saint-Germain are reportedly breaking their own record after the club paid Barcelona’s €222 million release clause for Neymar.

Yamal has scored seven goals in 51 games for Barça and will feature for Spain at Euro 2024.

Paris Saint-Germain’s 200m bid for Yamal in March was immediately rejected by the Catalan giants.

Despite Barcelona’s ongoing financial concerns, the La Liga side are clear that they do not want to sell Yamal under any circumstances.

Nou Camp president Joan Laporta has branded the La Masia product as “untouchable”.

The Spanish giants are suffering from a severe increase in debt and have alleged mismanagement of funds by the board.

Yamal’s contract with Barca expires in July 2026, so the Catalan giants have no immediate pressure to sell.

And with age on his side, Yamal could have the potential to rival Lionel Messi’s Nou Camp legacy.

His release clause is set at 1 billion.

Yamal is also represented by super agent Jorge Mendes.

He became the youngest player ever to feature in a European Championship after playing for Spain against Croatia two weeks ago.

If Yamal scores during the tournament in Germany, he will break the record for youngest goalscorer at the European Championship, set by Johan Vonlanthen for Switzerland in 2004.
