The Silver Arrows champion prevailed on a Sunday full of twists and turns at the Red Bull Ring.

The English driver, in fact, after having defended the lower part of the podium throughout the race, took advantage of an accident which involved Max Verstappen e Lando Norris, fighting for first place from the first lap. Interviewed by Mara Sangiorgio for Sky Sport Italia, the Englishman declared: “No last races they have been incredible for us. I think you probably deserved it victory in Canada, we finished in third place. Today we started in third place and we won the race. I think the two things went together compensate, sometimes things work out in a strange but fun way.”
“You have to be there for pick up the pieces, the race is never over until it’s over”, the driver of number 63 then continued. “They say never give up, right? I I fought hard to get to the podium and I was very happy with third place. Sometimes in this sport things go in your favor and other times they go against you. Today was my day.”
Russell finally concluded his speech by reflecting on the improvements found in the car. In particular, he confessed: “AND very pleasant to drive, much better than at the beginning of the season. Now we have more downforce. I think we’re making some huge steps forward and it shows, compared to Ferrari, compared to Aston Martin, we made a big difference. These are very positive moments for us.”
