Crowds for the ceremony of the 14th EDITION 2024 of “La Pellicola d’oro”, an event hosted in Via Veneto, in the heart of Rome. The evening, in addition to the presentation of the nominations, allowed the winners to receive the various recognitions and special prizes awarded at the Ministry of Business and Made in Italy last May.
The great success of the initiative saw the presence of a large audience among the guests, and many people who, not being able to enter the space reserved for Prize participants and prominent personalities, took their seats at the tables of the nearby premises, Harry’s Bar , Crazy Pizza and others nearby just to follow the succession of the winners on stage and follow the trailers presented. The ceremony was promoted and organized by the SAS Cinema Cultural Association, of which the set designer and director Enzo De Camillis, creator of the award itself, is President and artistic director, who introduced the event from the stage, together with the President of the Association Via Veneto, Dr. Elisabetta Calò and others
Vice-President, Lawyer Giovanna Silvaggi. The aim of the award is to bring to the fore the professions whose particular role is fundamental in the making of a film and which are rarely recognized and valorised. Professionals who, with their work, contribute to the life of the “dream factory” called cinema, with a commitment that is the result of technique, imagination, professional skills and passion. This year, different generations of actors and professionals crossed paths, voted by a jury made up of 260 professionals and awarded during the evening conducted with great professionalism by Sabina Stilo. The protagonists of the evening, in addition to the workers, were the well-known faces of the big and small screen, besieged by photographers. Among these Elena Sofia Ricci, Michele Placido and Sergio Martino who received the special lifetime achievement award. During the award ceremony for Giorgia Passarelli, Production Director of the film “C’è Ancora Tomorrow”, Paola Cortellesi arrived on stage as a surprise and also received the award for Best Cinema Actress. While the award for Best Cinema Actor was awarded to Valerio
Mastandrea, the best Fiction actor and actress awards went to Michele Riondino and Miriam Leone. Among the guests present were Francesco Gheghi, Mita Medici, Maria Pia Calzone, Emilio Franchini, Pierfrancesco Pingitore, Graziella Pera, Matteo Levi, Sergio Giussani, Gianluca Leurini, Myriam Fecci and Ivano De Matteo, awarded for Mia.
