The data contained in the investigation documents explain the aggravating circumstance of stalking that the prosecutor’s office is charging the boy who risks life imprisonment with. On Giulia’s last night, Turetta had two backpacks in his car: one with a knife, the other with a stuffed toy and some gifts for her. A few hours before killing her, he had taken 52 photographs of her.

The data not only tells of the obsession that Filippo Turetta had towards his ex-girlfriend Giulia Cecchettin, killed with 75 stab wounds last November 11, but also explains well – in legal terms – the aggravating circumstance of stalking that the prosecutor accuses the boy of who risks life imprisonment. From January 2022 to the day of the femicide – according to the investigation documents – Turetta sent the student from Vigonovo almost 26 thousand telephone messages, on average over 300 per day. A pace that became even more intense in the days immediately preceding the crime and which had led Giulia to define her ex-boyfriend as “a psychopath”, confessing that she was afraid of him.

Morbid Turetta towards the girl

Giulia had understood that there was more than something wrong in that relationship that had become morbid. They are victimistic, almost childish messages, those in which Turetta – overturning her responsibilities – accused her of wishing him ill because she didn’t send her a goodnight message. “You’re erasing me, you’re killing me like this,” she told her on Nov. 7 in a voice message. In those same days – as emerged from the notice of conclusion of the investigation – Turetta wrote down a list in his phone notes which could now further strengthen the accusatory theory of premeditation: geographical map, large backpack, knives, full tank of petrol, money bags, rubbish bags , tie ankles below and above knees, tape.

Meanwhile, Giulia is exasperated by the pressure of her ex-boyfriend who also accuses her of being in contact with a boy from Reggio Emilia, while she goes online and downloads an app to spy on her. Giulia blurts out: “You’re sick, she writes to him – there are things I want to keep to myself, because it scares me what you could do with that information. He replies “I don’t control, I just wanted a goodnight. We love each other, we are two potatoes. How can you think of dating someone else?”. On Giulia’s last evening, Turetta had two backpacks in the car: one with a knife, the other with a stuffed animal and some gifts for her. A few hours before killing her he had taken 52 photos.
