Pupi Avati receives Grifone – The Love Film Festival in Perugia celebrated the talent of renowned director Pupi Avati, awarding him the prestigious Golden Griffin for best direction. The prize was awarded for his film “Dante”, which was made with the support of the Region. The award ceremony took place in the cloister of the Melies cinema, followed by a screening of the film.

Pupi’s brother, Antonio Avati, who is also a producer, does not rule out the possibility of returning to work in the area. Both already have a house in Todi, which could become the base for their future projects.
The theme of the tenth edition of the Love Film Festival is passion, a feeling that, according to director Avati, can be deceptive and should not be confused with talent. He emphasizes that creativity and poetry emerge through pain. The award to “Dante” is a recognition of the importance of love, which is at the heart of the festival.
