Mbappé’s shirt number at Real Madrid
During his career between Monaco, PSG and the French national team Mbappé changed many shirt numbers: 29, 10, 11, 14, 17 and 7. In the last season he used precisely the 7who however is already occupied by Real Madrid Vinicius Jr.
Even 10 is already Modric’s, just as 11 is Rodrygo Goes’. Last year, however, Bellingham opted to take Zinedine Zidane’s number 5. Mbappé also therefore decided to opt for another number, equally significant, made official in these hours by the Madrid club.
Mbappé like Cristiano Ronaldo at Real Madrid
The Frenchman has in fact decided to wear the number 9 shirt, which in the 2023/24 season was not worn by anyone but which previously belonged to his compatriot Karim Benzema. A particular choice that is somewhat reminiscent of Cristiano Ronaldo.
The Portuguese, who arrived at the Bernabeu in 2009, took number 9 because number 7 – his favorite number – belonged to Raul, a Real Madrid legend.
