Thanks to the agreement signed between the Ministry of the Interior – Regional Directorate of Fire Brigades and the Lazio Region, this year too the presence of the Fire Brigade is being implemented in the regional territory as part of the summer fire prevention campaign. Among the identified facilities is also the city of Ceprano, with the municipal structure of Via Caragno, operational from today.
“We are very happy to ensure the establishment of a seasonal garrison in Ceprano which – explains Mayor Colucci – represents an ideal solution to improve our response capacity in guaranteeing the safety of citizens and the forestry heritage”.
The municipal structure will house a forest fire-fighting team, composed of five units, from 1 July to 30 September, in addition to a DOS (Fire Extinguishing Operators Management) team, composed of two units, from 15 July to 31 August.
“I thank the Commander, architect Alessandra Rilievi and all the staff of the Fire Brigade, for their availability and the precious work that will guarantee the realization of this project, further strengthening the safety and protection network of our territory where Ceprano – states Colucci – wants continue to be a point of reference for the entire territory”.
It is in this perspective that in these very hours the mayor has asked the Commander for the possibility of transforming the Ceprano garrison from seasonal to permanent: “An opportunity – concludes the mayor – also evaluated in synergy with other municipalities, considering the strategic position of Ceprano and its road infrastructures, which would guarantee a notable ease of access and the possibility of rapid and efficient interventions”
