The future of Alfa Romeo revolves (also) around the success of the New Alfa Romeo Junior. The Italian manufacturer’s B-SUV is ready to arrive on the market also in Fast version, with a high-performance electric motor and some customizations that recall the sports cars of the Quadrifoglio range which, in recent years, have been a point of reference for many enthusiasts. The Junior Veloce will be available with a not too high priceaiming to become a reference in the range for all customers looking for a fun model to drive.
Compact, sporty and electric
The New Alfa Romeo Junior Veloce it is the latest addition to the Alfa Romeo range. This is, as anticipated, the sports version of the Alfa Romeo Juinor, the B-segment SUV, originally called Alfa Romeo Milan, unveiled in recent months and which now represents the new gateway to the Italian company’s range, positioning it below the Alfa Romeo Tonale. The Junior is available in both an electric and hybrid version, with a starting price list from 29,900 euros.
With the Veloce version, however, the company aims to raise the bar, enriching the Alfa Romeo range with a very interesting new variant. The sporty version of the SUV, in fact, is equipped with a 280 HP electric motor and adds a whole series of customizations designed to offer a sporty and fun ride, even on the track. In fact, the Junior Veloce has a specific steering calibration, a sporty set-up lowered by 25 mm compared to the standard version, and a larger braking system.
The development project was handled by the same team of engineers who created, over the course of the year, unique models such as the Alfa Romeo 4C, the Quadrifoglio versions of Giulia and Stelvio as well as the few off 33 Stradale. The tests will judge this work but, in any case, the foundations for success are there. Alfa Romeo aims to make the new Junior Veloce a true reference for sportsmen looking for a small SUV capable of surprising and entertaining.
The price is right
The Junior Veloce is the big news in the Alfa Romeo range for the second half of 2024. The sports SUV is preparing to carve out its space on the market by also aiming for a price calibrated to its characteristics. The correct commercial positioning, in fact, is a central aspect for the success of a model like this, which aims to enhance the sporty soul of the Alfa Romeo brand without losing sight of its characteristics (it is still an SUV of just over 4 meters).
As reported Four wheelsthe New Alfa Romeo Junior Veloce will arrive on the Italian market with a price of 48,500 euros. This is an increase of 9,000 euros compared to the electric Junior in the basic version and 7,000 euros compared to the Special version. These two variants of the SUV have an electric motor that stops at 156 HP. The difference in terms of performance will therefore be truly significant. The price difference, however, does not seem to be so marked and could push many enthusiasts to prefer the new Veloce version.
