Margherita dies on holiday at 28

The tragedy on the island in the Atlantic Ocean where the young woman from the Marche region, originally from Colmurano (Macerata), had gone on holiday with her family. She was with her sister when a wave hit her leaving her no chance. Rescue efforts were in vain.

The small town of Colmuranoin the province of Macerata, is in shock over the death of the 28-year-old Margherita Salvucci: the girl was on holiday on the island of Madeirain Portugal, when it was hit by a freak wave. The misfortune occurred yesterday afternoon, Thursday 27 June.
