The new one arrives in Italy Kia Picanto. The Korean car “celebrates” its twentieth anniversary in 2024 and is available with two petrol engines (an LPG one will also arrive). There are 4 trims that potential buyers can choose from: Urban, 20th Anniversary Edition, Style e GT Line. The new Picanto emits less than 135 g/km of CO2 and can therefore access the government incentives band (which includes scrapping) dedicated to cars with emissions between 61 and 135 g/km. There are two engines available, both petrol. The entry level is a 1.0, 3 cylinders, 63 HP, the second a 1.2, 4 cylinders, 79 HP. The traction is front, while for the gearbox you can choose between manual and automatic, both with 5 gears. In the future, a LPG engine will also arrive.

As mentioned previously, there are 4 configurations available: Urban, 20th Anniversary Edition, Style e GT Line. L’Urbanthe entrance one, includes instruments with 4.2″ monitor, 14″ alloy wheels, 8″ central touch screen, lane maintainer and cruise control with speed limiter. In the set-up dedicated to the “birthday” of the Picanto , The 20th Anniversary EditionAlso included are direction indicators integrated into the rear-view mirrors, full LED front lights, 16″ alloy wheels, tinted rear windows and spare wheel. Style we find a keyless system, automatic climate control, faux leather seats and a wireless charger for the smartphone. Finally, the GT Line includes 16″ alloy wheels with a dedicated design, LED front fascia and aluminum pedals.

The starting price of the new Kia Picanto, in the basic trim Urbanand of 16.500 euro. It goes up to 17,950 euros for the 20th Anniversary Edition and at 19,750 for the Style. Finally, to buy the Korean car with the trim Gt Line you have to spend 19,750 euros, which rises to 20,750 if you choose the 79 HP engine. The Kia Picanto can access state eco-incentives in the state incentive band dedicated to cars with emissions between 61 and 135 g/km (here are the details regarding the residual funds). To access this range of state incentives you need to mandatory scrap a car. The discount that can be obtained varies according to the approval class of the car being scrapped: for a Euro 0-2 car the discount is 3,000 euros, which drops to 2,000 for Euro 3 and 1,500 for Euro 4 (regardless of your Isee). There are no discounts in the event of scrapping a Euro 5 car.
