Ariano Irpino

Yesterday afternoon, at Palazzo di Città, I had a meeting with the new president of the high heat, Antonello Lenzi. A meeting in which I acted as spokesperson for the inconveniences that our community, together with many others in the province of Avellino, has been forced to experience for years now, due to the periodic interruptions of the water service during the summer season.”

This is what the mayor of Ariano Irpino Enrico Franza wrote in a note the day after the meeting held in the city palace with the president of the high heat services Antonello Lenzi. Present were the municipal and provincial councilor Laura Cervinaro and the councilor Toni La Braca.

“Despite the funds that our Municipality has already allocated for some time for urgent interventions clearly relating only to the territory of Ariano and which, in all honesty, cannot be decisive, without too many mincing words I reiterated three things:

Respect for the times relating to the suspension of the water service and timely communication, an immediate and effective response to the many breakages that affect the water network, a comprehensive planning of resolving interventions on the entire water network.

The new president’s response was clear and exhaustive: “I will ensure real and coherent communications, in order to contain the inconvenience, and I have already prepared an extraordinary maintenance plan exclusively for Ariano, aimed at dealing with the numerous network breakdowns in the Ariano area”.

I thank President Lenzi for his full availability and the reassuring comparison in terms of feasibility and constant dialogue between our institutions, but also and above all for the cordiality and understanding demonstrated.
