Alessandro Valdes He died on June 20th in Saint Antiochus (South Sardinia) in a head-on collision on state road 126. After more than a week, the family has still not been able to celebrate the funeral. The reason? The body was forgotten in a cold room of the mortuary of the CTO hospital in Iglesias waiting for someone to decide to carry out the autopsy. The Sardinian Union reports it.

The 49-year-old engineer was reportedly taken ill while driving his Audi, causing him to lose control. The car ended up in the opposite lane, hitting a Citroen head-on, and Alessandro Valdes did not make it. Relatives and friends of the victim have not yet had the chance to see the body, which remained in a refrigerated cell in the mortuary of the Cto hospital in Iglesias.

The autopsy should have established with certainty the causes of death. But, apparently, until Thursday morning no one had taken charge of the work. After the confrontation between the general management and the health management, the official response arrives with the apologies of the ASL.
