Princess Anne leaves hospital and returns to Gatcombe Park

On the morning of Friday 28 June, Elizabeth II’s daughter left Southmead Hospital in Bristol to go to Gatcombe Park in Gloucestershire, where she will take a further period of rest that will help her fully recover. According to the Guardian, the princess will return to her public engagements only when the team of doctors who are keeping her under observation deems that the time is right and there are no repercussions on her health. This week, in fact, she was supposed to visit Canada and was unable to attend the Buckingham Palace banquet organized on Tuesday for the state visit to Japan. As has already happened in recent days, her husband, Tim Laurence, wanted to thank those who took care of his wife during this period of hospitalization with a note and, in fact, it reads:

I would like to extend my heartfelt thanks to the team at Southmead Hospital for their care, expertise and kindness during my wife’s short stay.

The health condition of Princess Anne

It was the princess’s husband who, two days ago, reassured the journalists gathered outside the Bristol hospital that his wife was improving and would soon be able to leave the hospital. The dynamics of the accident have not yet been clarified to date. It seems, in fact, that the concussion and injuries were caused by a horse that hit her. The sudden intervention of the emergency services was a saving grace for the princess.
