Social media goes wild with death threats and sexist insults

Flaminia Pace (pictured) has resigned from all her positions in Gioventù Nazionale, the young section of Fratelli d’Italia. And she has been targeted on social media, with threats as well.

A forced choice, the resignation, imposed by the Presidency Council of the National Youth Council (Cng) which, as stated in a note, «had already requested the immediate resignation with a resolution of last June 17» because, Pace’s words, are «in clear violation of all the values and principles that have always inspired the National Youth Council».

Once the hunt for the fascist began, unleashed by Corrado Formigli and Roberto Saviano, who acted as a sounding board for the Fanpage investigation, Pace was targeted with insults and threats.

As usual, social media did not hold back in the virtual stoning of Pace, with every possible insult that the human mind is capable of producing. Death threats are added and act as a corollary to a picture of horror that is painted by those who profess good feelings.

“If I catch you, you fascist piece of shit, I’ll hang you upside down, you and your whole gang,” writes a user. Who then adds: “I hope not one, but 10 Nigerians, really catch you.” To do what? It’s easy to guess. And yet another: “Remember that a fascist is only good upside down.” And those who profess inclusion and political correctness don’t miss out on body shaming: “You’re a little bit ugly, I don’t see all this Aryanness.” Or: “Flaminia? Is that the one on the right with the Big Mac-loving double chin?”

All these comments were published under a post shared on Facebook by Amedeo Zamparelli, of the Sports department of Fratelli d’Italia, who tagged 17 people, including Pace himself, in a post in which he made an appointment in Rome from July 4 to 6 for a party event. Or, perhaps, it is better to say that he made an appointment, since the post was deleted by the author, probably due to an excess of horrendous comments like those reported here. The monster was splashed on the front page, the social haters did the rest and who knows how much longer they will continue.

But comments of the same tenor can also be found under other contents attributable to Fratelli d’Italia, and in scattered comments

on social media. Like that of a certain Zibbo, who doesn’t even have the courage to sign his name but who with a certain bravado writes on X: «I dream of Flaminia Pace in Piazzale Loreto. All fascists upside down.”
