Bracelet, Porticciolo wins the Monte San Savino Challenge

One neighborhood wins, another loses, but all the splendid protagonists of these two evenings win and brought the ball back to hitting the ancient walls of Monte San Savino.
The Porticciolo team won, putting their third consecutive success in the Challenge between the neighborhoods of Andrea Sansovino’s city in their laurels. A victory, unlike past editions, clear and never in question right from the first springboards, despite the admirable attempt of the red-blacks of San Giovanni to respond to the masterly shots of BaseAndrea Rossi, of the RaceLuca Lombardi, and to the cut balls of the full-backs Aldinucci and Gagliardi.
San Giovanni, despite the defeat, perhaps also due to the residual tiredness accumulated following the victorious semi-final against Castiglia, can be proud of the result for having returned to play a final after a few years of dip.
The challenge for third place between Castile and Yalta was very balanced and exciting. The Jaltini team prevailed in the play-off and, leading by 6 games to 4, had been reached by the Giallorossi in the final step. Serves grazing the treacherous support wall, responses from the baseline, close-range shots thrilled the large audience present at the Challenge.
The Porticciolo won, but all those who believed in the rebirth of a game, of a sport that has given prestige and fame to Monte San Savino for centuries, won.
The teams were awarded by the deputy mayor Sandra Cheli, the governor of the Misericordia Luciano Falchi and the president of the Pro Loco Manola Donnini.
