The journey aboard the Pop is more comfortable thanks to the structure of the carriage which helps to improve thethermal insulation reducing the cooling and heating times of the environment, and the programmed closing of the doors which avoids heat loss.

Starting from next July 1st the “Lucania Express” will be active, the first direct connection from Potenza to Bari.
This service will be operated with a modern Pop train, the first of eight scheduled for delivery by 2026.
The new connection will be available on a trial basis until December 14.
The service includes an outward journey from Potenza to Bari in the morning and a return journey from Bari to Potenza in the evening, with intermediate stops at the stations of Grassano, Ferrandina Scalo-Matera, Metaponto and Gioia del Colle.
This new direct connection between Potenza and Bari is the result of a fruitful collaboration with the regional management of Trenitalia. With over 500 seats available and dedicated spaces for bicycles, the Lucania Express not only improves connections between Basilicata and Puglia but also promotes more sustainable mobility. Furthermore, it is important to highlight that this new route offers the shortest travel times among the available public transport options.
