«The project for Lazio’s new home is ready»

A decisive step forward. Lazio sent a certified email to mayor Roberto Gualtieri to arrange a meeting regarding the Flaminio stadium. The Biancoceleste club intends to discuss «the development of a feasibility plan to create Lazio’s home at the Flaminio Stadium in Rome. We are interested in developing a restructuring plan which, in full compliance with current regulations, will allow the facility to host football matches in national and international tournaments.” Finally, Lotito asked Gualtieri to organize “a meeting in which I will participate with the project manager designated by us”.

The response from the Councilor for Major Events, Sport, Tourism and Fashion Alessandro Onorato was immediate: «In the next few days with the mayor Roberto Gualtieri and my urban planning colleague Maurizio Veloccia we will arrange a meeting with a delegation from the company and we will observe, in detail , the study carried out by Lazio. The objective of this Administration is to return the Flaminio to the city’s disposal. We will listen to Lotito’s project with great attention, but there are also other solutions in the field. Let’s see which one will best respond to the city’s interests.” And so, after the project presented by Roma Nuoto, the veil will soon be lifted on that of Lazio too. With the Flaminio stadium which could soon have a future again.
