“There is finally a prospect for saving the Mirandola site and employment levels. A perspective that must now be expressed with the contents of the reindustrialization project. The trade union struggle has achieved a first significant prospective result thanks to the extraordinary mobilization of workers and the unity of the trade union and institutional front.”. As
Lisa Vincenzi (Filctem Cgil Modena) and Alberto Suffritti (Femca Cisl Emilia Centrale) comment on the outcome of this afternoon’s regional roundtable.

In the context of the Mozarc Medical (formerly Bellco) dispute and in relation to the table held today in the Region in the presence of the President of the Region Stefano Bonaccini and the Councilor for Economic Development Vincenzo Colla, the unions reiterate the three essential points brought to attention of the crisis table:

  • the company has undertaken to implement a process of reindustrialisation of the site in order to preserve its production and employment continuity;
  • the company’s commitment not to carry out unilateral actions until an industrial, productive and employment solution is identified;
  • maintenance of the regional table with periodic meetings between owners, unions and the Region to encourage the operations indicated.

These are the points strongly claimed by the trade union organizations and present in the text proposed by the Region which will be submitted to the workers during the trade union assembly convened.
We remind you that Mozarc Medical (formerly Bellco), 50% controlled by the American Mediatronic – while the other 50% is owned by its compatriot DaVita, is an important piece of the biomedical sector, with its 512 employees and essential production for the healthcare supply chain: Here, Medtronic brand dialysis filters and dialysis machines used in hospitals throughout Italy and which require maintenance, spare parts and assistance are made.
