The ViviMontenero and Misericordia di Montenero associations present the two-day celebration for Fire of St. John which will take place on Saturday 22nd and Sunday 23rd June in Piazza delle Carrozze. “We want to bring this ‘forgotten village’ back to life – explain from Misericordia di Montenero and ViviMontenero -, we want to bring people to Montenero. The artisan and streetfood stalls are all ‘zero kilometre’, we have local restaurants, between Montenero and Castellaccio, as well as for the artisan stalls”. It starts on Saturday 22 June, at 8.30 pm, with the celebration of Giacomo Bastiani, a promising young Montenerese singer who is a finalist in The Voice Kids, and at 9.30 pm with the concert by Bobo Rondelli. On Sunday, at 3.30 pm, a cycling gymkhana for very young people and then arriving at 8.30pm when you will dance in the company of the BigBand. At 9.30pm guaranteed laughter with Paolo Migone’s show and then, finally, at 11pm the long-awaited St. John’s Fire. Artisans and street food will frame the stage area.
In Montenero square instead the Proloco Montenero presents the traditional dessert competition on June 22nd at 5pm, from 6pm to 8pm stornelli in the Funicular with Doranna Natali and Enrico Faggioni, at 8.30pm stockfish and cod in all sauces and at 10pm karaoke with DJ Ciaone. On June 23rd from 6pm to 8pm on the funicular (round trip). At 7pm conference on the Montenero Funicular organized by the G. Borsi association with speaker Carlo Adorni. Dinner at 8.30pm with stockfish and cod in all sauces. At 9.30 pm commemoration of the great vernacular artists with Fulvio Pacitto, Giovanni Franco, Rossana Fatighenti. The funicular will run until midnight to comfortably enjoy the atmosphere of the two squares. We recommend parking in the large car park in Piazzale Giovanni XIII.
