What music for the future?, conference and concerts

Friday 28 June 2024 the Castiglioni and Donatoni rooms of the Steam Factory of Milan (via Procaccini 4) host the event What music for the future?with meetings and concerts that lead to reflections on relationships of today’s music with technology and digital, on its ethical dimension and its connections with urgent social issues such as that of the ecological transition. Reflections on one music theory not intended as grammar or syntax of musical language but as a hypothesis on its social function, on its relationship with man and naturewith technology, with diversity and with the past, in a future perspective.

Electronic music, artificial intelligence, multimedia, connections with pop, collective improvisation, new ways of fruition are the central themes of the events and reflections proposed during the day, which includes a program of performance, installations and a conference full of speeches of some young composers who are among the most sensitive to the themes mentioned and thinkers who have accumulated reflections on these themes resulting from a dense experience of life and thought.
