The Electronic Health Record (FSE) represents a significant turning point in the management of citizens’ clinical data. From 19 May 2020, every citizen residing in Friuli Venezia Giulia has its own ESF active, as established by article 11 of Legislative Decree no. 34 of 2020.
Advantages of the Electronic Health Record and management of your background
The ESF allows you to collect and share all clinical documentation digitally produced by public facilities, facilitating the patient’s care by health professionals. This system allows for a more efficient and complete consultation of clinical history of the patient, improving the quality of healthcare.
Clinical documentation prior to May 19, 2020 is available only to those who have provided prior consent to feeding. This integration is fundamental for a correct and exhaustive medical history, supporting doctors in diagnosis and treatment.
Right of opposition
Citizens who do not wish their clinical documentation prior to 19 May 2020 to be included in the ESF can express their opposition by June 30, 2024. This deadline was established by the Ministry of Health following the indications of the Authority for the protection of personal data.
Ways of expressing opposition
Online on the “Health Card System” portal it is possible to express your objection online, in two ways:
- Without digital identity: By entering your tax code, your Health Card number and its expiry date.
- With digital identity: Using SPID, Electronic Identity Card or TS/CNS.
Alternatively, citizens can contact their local health authority directly to express their opposition.
