GALLARATE -The robber who sowed panic in the Tenconi pharmacy in Gallarate last June 6 was arrested by the Carabinieri of the Operational and Radiomobile Unit from the Gallarate Company at the end of the investigations coordinated by the public prosecutor Nadia Calcaterra. The arrest was made in execution of a precautionary custody order issued by the investigating judge of the Busto Anna Giorgetti court. This is a 39-year-old convicted felon resident in the Gallaratese area, known for his criminal records, even specific ones, and for the modus operandi adopted.
One theft and two robberies
The facts date back to the beginning of June, when 112 received a call reporting the commission of a robbery in the pharmacy by a man armed with a knife, who had had the day’s takings delivered (equal to 450 euros) and fled on foot.
The immediate intervention of a gazelle of the Radiomobile Nucleus it allowed us to crystallize what happened and collect the testimonies of the victims. Thanks to the subsequent inspection and surveys, i Carabinieri they managed to accurately reconstruct the movements of the robber, who had a very specific plan.
The man, who arrived at the crime scene on a scooter, before committing the robbery entered a household goods shop located next to the pharmacy, where he stole a pair of scissors and a cutter, weapons with which he then committed the robbery. To conceal his intentions, she also purchased a cutting board, trying to divert the shopkeeper’s suspicions, who however did not go unnoticed by the indecision shown in choosing the objects to purchase.
Having completed the theft, the man moved towards the pharmacy, taking care to raise the collar of his sweatshirt before entering to try to hide a tattoo on his neck which would have made him more recognisable.
Scissors and cutter
Having entered the pharmacy, unaware of the presence of a customer, he quickly headed towards the cash register, where he threatened an employee by pointing scissors at her and taking possession of the proceedsor. Firmly determined to secure the loot, demonstrating the criminal callidity he possessed, the criminal did not hesitate to also threaten the death of the owner of the pharmacy and another doctor who had followed him outside the business immediately after the robbery. Having secured the loot, the perpetrator fled on foot, abandoning the scissors and cutting board in a nearby bin, objects which were seized during the forensic investigations subsequently carried out.
I’m not satisfied, the criminal tried another robbery against a courier he was carrying out a delivery to a business just under 500 meters from the pharmacy. The robber, during his escape, intercepted a van left temporarily unattended, boarding it and driving off at full throttle, breaking through one of the mobile bars that closed the courtyard where the vehicle was parked.

The owner, realizing what had happened, managed to board the vehicle and engage in a fight with the robber, who eventually gave up his attempt and fled on foot, but not before threatening the victim. The latter then told everything to the members of a police squad from the local public safety police station, who intervened on the occasion and seized the clothes and a knife used in the robbery committed in the pharmacy, which the perpetrator had left on board the van. The investigations conducted by the Carabinieri have allowed them to put together all the pieces of the puzzle and nail the perpetrator to his responsibilities, who was tracked down and arrested late yesterday evening.
The arrested person was taken to the Busto Arsizio prison where he remains at the disposal of the Judicial Authority awaiting the warrant interrogation.
