Ink thief, aka Renato Ricciotti, and Simonluca Spadanuda, aka Urban magic, have won our competition dedicated to street artists, focused on the theme of safety in the workplace, and will have to equally divide the prize up for grabs, which it was delivered to them by Mariaelena Senese, General Secretary of Uil Calabria in the presence of the national manager of Uil craftsmanship Mauro Sasso, before giving the city of Praia a Mare the fruit of her creative flair.
The two-day event organized by Uil artigianato Calabria, led by Benedetto Cassala, in collaboration with Uil ended yesterday morning at the Exhibition Palace in Praia a Mare, in the presence of Mayor Antonino De Lorenzo and Councilor Elisa Selvaggi. Calabria, the Municipality of the Riviera dei Cedri, Ebac represented by the director Andrea Monteleone and the vice president Luigi Veraldi and the Opra Calabria, to which they also lent their inspiration: Rocco Del Franco “Tin Head”, Michelangelo D’ Urso “Alien shunk” and “Schizophrenia and Cinni” aka Dalila and Francesco Nisticò.
“Art is made – said Mauro Sasso, national coordinator of the coordination of Uil craftsmanship – to demonstrate the importance of getting a message across to everyone, including the youngest: only with the utmost attention to safety in the workplace can Calabria restart”.
Attention to the younger generations has also returned in the words of Mariaelena Senese, general secretary of Uil Calabria. “One of our objectives is to raise maximum awareness among our young people, helping them in their growth journey to ensure that, once they reach the gates of the job market, they do not choose to leave our land and have all the tools to work in safety”.
“Through art – said Benedetto Cassala, head of coordination of Uil artigianato Calabria – we manage to deal in an unusual way with a topic, that of safety in the workplace, which is very important for us. The reminders, through art and images in detail, can undoubtedly make an important contribution to raising awareness in civil society”
The mayor of Praia a Mare Antonino De Lorenzo said he was available to host new editions of the initiative that is part of the itinerant information campaign on the tools of artisan bilateralism: “Your safety is not a yo-yo: after an accident you can’t go back!”.
“No worker – said the mayor of Praia a Mare – deserves not to return home. It was very simple to accept and support this idea from Uil. We hope it is the first of a long series.”
