The yacht awarded the Compasso d’Oro

As soon as you boarded the luxury yacht Sanlorenzo SP110 one is particularly struck by the interiors divided into two levels and not separated from each other. It is a vertical loft, which promotes and simplifies conviviality. A totally new configuration for one boat, made even more effective by the large glass surfaces which make the design solutions visible and appreciated from the outside. The stern stairs connect the living room on the main deck with that on the lower deck, generating an open space in synergy with the exteriors. The interiors, designed by Piero Lissonimasterfully combine simple and elegant shapes with signature objects, from the LC3 armchairs by Le Corbusier to the Panton Chairfrom the Lounge Chair at the Wire Chair by Charles & Ray Eames, right down to the lamps Toio by Achille and Pier Giacomo Castiglioni. The search for new housing solutions, for new relationships between transparent and blind surfaces and for new proportions in the interpretations of floating homes are among the motivations that have allowed the SP110 yacht to win the Compasso d’Oro. The SP110 model will be on display at the ADI Design Museum until September 15, 2024.

The new SP110 model has a length of 33.04 meters and is the first open coupé in the history of Sanlorenzo. Inaugurates the SP (Smart Performance) range which aims to guarantee high performance with the maximum energy efficiency thanks to a fractional propulsion composed of three significantly smaller engines, with an optimal ratio between weight and power. The use of various solutions aimed at guaranteeing significant weight savings, such as the use of lightweight materials, allows for further optimization of consumption and performance. In the bathrooms, for example, lava stone was used (which is lighter and visually more energetic) instead of marble.

The exteriors of SP110, designed by the Zuccon International Project studio, share the design philosophy of extreme formal cleanliness. On the flying bridge (the highest bridge) the solar panels monocrystalline that give a strong personality to the boat. The flybridge features an elegant shade of red, which is echoed in the table top on the main deck and in the storage units on the lower deck. The interior design palette is completed with neutral shades alternating with shades of blue (of the fabrics and carpets) and brown of the furnishing elements and the ceiling which, with the caning, contributes to strengthening the longitudinal shape of the boat.
