The accident occurred at approximately 10:00 p.m. The Carabinieri, Fire Brigade and 118 intervened on the scene. A small car, driven by a 70-year-old woman from Perugia, overturned on the roadway for reasons currently being investigated.
The lady was traveling in the direction of Gubbio, presumably returning home. She was extracted from the cockpit by the Fire Brigade after a long work among the sheets of metal and entrusted to the care of the 118 health workers.
At the time of writing, the Contessa state road is interrupted one kilometer after the Madonna del Ponte roundabout.
GUBBIO – I Carabinieritogether with Fire fighters and to the 118intervened at 10pm along the Contesa state road to a road accident involving a car.
The small car overturned on the carriageway towards Gubbio, in the section consisting of a series of downhill curves before reaching the straight stretch of the Madonna del Ponte roundabout.
The woman, one 70 year old from Perugiaremained trapped inside the passenger compartment. The Gubbio Fire Department worked for a long time to extract her from the car and entrust her to the care of the 118 paramedics. The woman was traveling in the direction of Gubbio.
The Carabinieri were also on site and created a buffer zone around the accident, so that rescuers could work without impediments. The woman was treated immediately inside the ambulance.
At the time of writing, the Contessa state road is interrupted one kilometre after the Madonna del Ponte roundabout.
